Make your own chalk!


What you need:

- - Toilet paper tubes
- - Duct tape
- - Waxed paper
- - 3/4 cup warm water
- - About 1 1/2 cups plaster of Paris
- - 2 to 3 tablespoons powdered tempera paint

1. Cover one end of the toilet paper tube with duct tape.
2. Loosely roll up a piece of wax paper and slip it into the tube.
3. Pour the warm water into a container and add the plaster of Paris - - a little at a time,
until the powder no longer dissolves. Stir thoroughly.
4. Mix in the powdered tempera paint.
5. Place the prepared mold on a level surface and pour in the mixture.
6. Tap the sides of the tube to release any air bubbles.Let the chalk harden - - it will take few days.
7. You are ready to take the tape off and slide the chalk out.
